About Me

Hey there—I'm Richard Bell.
Poet. Storyteller. Former radio DJ with a love for classic country and the stories behind the sound.

I didn’t set out to write poetry. Life kind of nudged me into it—through heartbreak, laughter, faith, and a good bit of Tennessee dust. What started as scribbles turned into verses, and now, a collection of real stories wrapped in rhyme and reflection.

I spent years behind a microphone, spinning Merle, George, Loretta, and Waylon—learning that every great song tells a story. That same spirit lives in my poetry today. From tributes to country legends and haunted house tales, to small-town memories and lighthearted moments chasing chihuahuas—I write with honesty and heart.

If you've ever stared out a window and let your thoughts drift...
If you've ever heard a country song and felt it deep...
Then you'll feel right at home here.

Welcome to my world—beneath shifting skies, where thoughts take flight.

Life didn’t ask permission—it just hit me hard… then I wrote.
